‘Internal Compass’ by Leesa Langstraat.
“Experience my whirlwind journey of pain and discovery. I was born into a dysfunctional family and exposed to neglect and abuse which propelled me into a life of unintended self-sabotage. Throughout my life, I experienced rejection, illness, and relationship tribulations. I lost close family and children and came near to losing myself.”
These are the words of Leesa Langstraat, a pseudonym, the reason for which you will understand when you read her book. Her struggles have been monumental, but she discovered valuable tools to help her change the way she lived her life and to deal with the sociopaths and the narcissists by whom she was besieged, tools that helped her and her children find lasting peace. She hopes her book will help others in a similar situation. As she also says, “Once we become familiar and comfortable with making positive choices, our lives change for the better. There is no skill, it’s simply a choice.”

I found this an extremely touching and honest book which, at points, brought tears to my eyes. We’re so happy for Leesa that she’s now leading a much healthier and more peaceful life with her children, and Giles and I wish her the very best of luck.
Leesa will be publishing her second book in the not-too-distant future, and I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s available.
