Giles and Lel have been amazing in the creation of the ‘Oor Elsie’ memoir book that I had compiled for my Granny. It was the first time in 27 years that she had all of her children with her to celebrate Christmas, and to also celebrate the amazing things she had done and accomplished since she was born in 1932.

After making notes off and on for years, and then ignoring them, I finally decided it was now or never, to write an account of my boyhood in Waihi in the 1950’s! A Google search presented me with a choice of publishers. I decided “PublishMe” was what I wanted.
I have to say, I am so pleased to have made the choice and I am now able to say ….I HAVE MY BOOK. It was Lel and Giles’ patience and guidance that got me through the process. I never felt pressured and all my corrections and alterations were taken on board without question. Delays, changes, amendments, additions, improvements were all part of my attempt to say what I wanted to say, and what I learnt, was that writing is an ever evolving process. It has a beginning but a conclusion can sometimes be elusive.
